Darcy Hitchcock is president of AXIS Performance Advisors, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in the implementation of sustainability programs within organizations. Her governmental clients include the Multnomah County, City of Portland, City of West Linn, the City of Corvallis, the City of Lake Oswego, METRO, Tualatin Valley Water District, and the Washington Department of Ecology.
Darcy is author of the popular book, The Business Guide to Sustainability, as well as four other business books. She is on the faculty of the Bainbridge Graduate Institute's MBA in Sustainable Management program.
Darcy is co-founder of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals, a new professional association connecting sustainability practitioners around the world.
Since her company believes that they should "walk the talk," AXIS publishes annual sustainability reports which are available on their website: www.axisperformance.com. AXIS was recognized by the Oregon Natural Step Network as having achieved their highest level of sustainability performance, resulting in the publication of their organization as a case study.
